Carrowkeel & Kesh Caves

Connecting With The Wisdom of The Land

Upcoming Retreats

Carrowkeel, part of the larger Bricklieve Mountains, is a complex of passage tombs and cairns dating back to the Neolithic period, around 5,000 years ago. These mystical structures not only serve as historical monuments but also as vibrant vessels of Ireland’s mythological heritage, connecting us to the spiritual and cultural landscape of our ancestors. By exploring Carrowkeel, we honor the memory of those who built these monumental structures but also immerse ourselves in the timeless stories and cosmic rhythms that continue to shape our world.

Kesh caves have long been seen as a gateway to the Otherworld. In Irish mythology, they are linked to the Tuatha Dé Danann, the Fianna. It is here, according to legend, that Cormac mac Airt, one of Ireland’s greatest High Kings, was raised by a she-wolf, echoing the deep spiritual connection between nature, transformation, and destiny. The caves have also been associated with initiation, vision quests, and shamanic journeying, making them a potent site for those seeking insight and renewal.
